Should g0v international have a “team” on g0v’s HackMD? @isabelhou @pm5 @ipa 😄 this might relieve some of the discomfort pm5 (and myself a bit) have that HackMD adds a `@id` in the url of a HackMD book / page when published. (for example `https://g0v.hackmd.io/@chihao/ukraine/`) If we have a “team”, some of these in the future could have `@intl` in the link. Although I kind of want `@int` instead of `@intl` because it always sounds like `intel` in my mind when I read it 😛
Yes, an “int” team on g0v’s hackmd will be great.
Omg YES! Such a great idea generally!

I explicitly avoid sharing the "static" link because it says my name as the doc creator, and makes me look like the "leader" if that's the case. A team functionality built into the platform would be soooooo wonderful, but in the meantime, I should create org identity like you're suggesting
Fwiw, "shortlinks" kinda resolves this concern with url, as no one gets that maladaptive hint on the way in. Pls feel free to use link.g0v.network/shortlinks (it auto-updates via GitHub Actions)
Or I'd be happy to set up another for y'all, if you'd like shortlinks at go.g0v.tw or link.g0v.tw
patcon ++ \o/ but g0v.network is looong
in bed is sooo nice
@chihao Heh it's a bit of a misnomer, as it's less about the shortness of the whole thing, and more about the "keyword" part of the path, which is like a speakable word you can say out loud on calls or at events, and keep in your memory, that is "resolvable" to whatever place on the internet where it currently lives (which might change tomorrow if someone updates it, but my "lookup" is updated too, without any need for anyone to communicate that to me, for me to update my bookmarks or whatever. It's like a shared collectivized set of bookmarks that don't live in any one place, but in everyone's brains who cares enough about the link to remember it :) )

So as long as ppl know the root "shortlink" e.g. link g0v.network, then they will know what someone means when they say "it's at the 'pug' shortlink" or "the home-safe-africa with dashes shortlink" :upside_down_face:

@isabelhou @pm5 @ipa we have a team :)) https://g0v.hackmd.io/@int @chiehg0v ++

I also tried to open a HackMD book while not logged in to HackMD. It does not allow me to do that 😛

There is a Facing the Ocean (FtO) e-lunch today if anyone feels good to join :)) 12pm TW-HK / 1pm JP-KR meet.google.com/rif-ekaz-rnh Let’s talk about what can we do for Ukraine today?
Would anyone be interested to maintain a Google calendar of events like this, that I could subscribe to??? I miss this _every_ month, and I ALWAYS regret it :) orrrrr how did I subscribe to your invite list?
Or wait, does g0v have a community gcal already?
g0v has a calendar, g0v-international also has a calendar
I'd be happy to share some chatbot things, if there's interest...! E.g. https://github.com/CivicTechTO/civictechto-chatbot#calendar-addcoffee
Not sure how things get added, but that chatbot command allowed anyone in slack to add events to the calendar, which for awhile made it reeeeaaally participatory (I let it break for a bit over pandemic, and need to fix it :) )
@chihao any link? And would signing up for that help me find facing the ocean events?
Also THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
A-ha! Found it via googling a bit harder for `"g0v" calendar` :)
The neat thing about shortlinks (as I think you're a connector of ppl and resources like me @chihao) is that it feels so wizardy to be able to say off the cuff in any place:

> g0v has a calendar, g0v-international also has a calendar
> link.g0v.tw/calendar
> link.g0v.tw/calendar-intl
