y'all every thought about switching to Matrix Element?
I think #COSCUP migrated to Mattermost.
For g0v, there’s the issue of entrance barrier for non-tech savvy participants though.
Bridge would work, but the signup process wouldn’t be that complicated.
I’m just tired of seeing slack premium plastered on my feed, with >90day messages not available.
Plus, something like Matrix element aligns closer with the philosophy of FOSS.

IMO on user-friendly side, Element is a century away than Mattermost, and from our previous experience on Mozilla Reps, the barrier to convert current community is far higher than we expected, when we close telegram group and force people to move to Element/Matrix.
