Dear @ttcat , I found a very interesting article from Shih-Shiuan Kao. He used to work for Doublethink labs but he is not there anymore, is there a way to reach to him by any chance?

I'm refering to this great article

<!here> quick question : I'm looking for civilians initiatives and governement ones that counter the misinformation sprayed by adversarial countries. I know there is Information Operations Research Group (IORG), also Cofacts (https://en.cofacts.tw/) or Doublethink Labs. Are there any other ones that should be worth mentionning ?
I would like also to know how effective these initiatives are. Are there metrics that can trace the impacts?
Hi Andy 👋 Co-founder of the Cofacts project here.

In terms of some metrics that can be used to measure effectiveness, Cofacts has an open analytics data ( cofacts.tw/analytics ), which shows the page view of hoax database website, and number of times a hoax is being searched in the chatbot.
For other civilian initialtives combating disinformation:
• Fake News Cleaner is actively raising public awareness of disinformation issue via offline / face-to-face lectures and activities on the street: https://www.fakenewscleaner.tw/
• IFCN certified fact checkers in Taiwan: Taiwan Fact-Checking Center, and MyGoPen
Hi @mrorz, nice to meet you. I'm part of the first class of GEODE professional master in Paris. Thank you for the answer. Is there a way to reach you privately (email or else) to ask you a few questions, please ?
Sure, you can send emails to the Cofacts Working Group cofacts@googlegroups.com
Thank you very much. Let me send you an email, straight away.

Cofacts - Message reporting chatbot and crowd-sourced fact-checking community

Cofacts is a collaborative system connecting instant messages and fact-check reports or different opinions together. It's a grass-root effort fighting mis/disinformation in Taiwan.

I would like also to know how effective these initiatives are. Are there metrics that can trace the impacts?

Hi all !
I am writing a masters thesis in partnership with La Quadrature du Net, a French association advocating for digital civil freedoms.
They have historically relied heavily on "lobbying" to French and European electeds but it is proving less and less efficient.
They are now looking for other ways have an impact on lawmakers and investigating how to leverage civil society.

Warm regards,
Hélène

Hi all,
I am in Taipei for the next 2 weeks and would love to meet with some of you if you have any availability in the next 2 weeks !
I am currently writing my masters thesis in sociology about how a French association - La Quadrature du net - fights government and GAFAM surveillance.
I would find it very interesting to have elements of comparison between the situations in Taiwan and France.
At this link you will find the questions I'd like to discuss : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1bFC1l2kYhovMe_WEwvedI5_E0PST3H7oFIQyspfaKwo/edit?usp=sharing
Please feel free to contact me, or recommend others.
Happy new year !!!
