早上我跟 @vivian.chen 和 Protocol Labs 的人開了個會（如果新人還不知道的話 PL 是 IPFS 跟 Filecoin 的團隊，我們對到的是他們的研究單位）對齊一些動機與共識，跟大家報告一下

我們走得比他們快了，他們現在還在封閉式高成功率的 PoC 階段，有鑒於這個實驗如果成功未來可以長得很大，我們現在可以參與的方式是幫他們找類似這樣的實驗案例或場域，這可能得跟 Isabel 多聊一下

@taipeicity.eth Totally open and up for discussion, that is just a version I did for the purpose of connecting current dots and to give PL a sense on what we are doing, it can definitely be an open discussion, let’s also discuss this in our next meeting, I actually put sth similar in the agenda already

@isabelhou 我開車的時候多想了一下怎麼回答妳說 web3 跟 web2 的 ID 或 badge 系統有什麼不同，這邊也貼上來因為我想很多人可能有同樣的問題或是更好的答案
我覺得一句話講是因為 web3 能更有效的做到「公平基礎上的堆疊與激勵」，公平基礎指的是 soul 有機會做到 ID 不會被女巫攻擊或產生其他投機漏洞（一般 web3 項目沒有 soul，所以不是很公平），堆疊是 web2 做不到的（API 的彈性及空間是有限的，或是被控制的），激勵上 web3 因為能創造開放貨幣/資產而不是封閉點數所以比 web2 更有激勵效果，這是我覺得比較完整的答案

好奇問個 ipfs 的技術問題。我本來以為 ipfs 是只要建立 node ，整個 ipfs 的其他 nodes 就會自動分散你的檔案達到讓檔案可以永久被儲存的效果，但剛剛稍微再看了一下，好像他並不會自動，還是要有人下載這個檔案，他才會分擔儲存？那如果都沒人下載的話，這個檔案還是只存在於一個 node 而已不會主動被擴散嗎？
對我的理解是因為 IPFS 並沒有像 Filecoin 這樣的激勵機制去鼓勵下載分散，所以雖然共識是分擔儲存，但實際上可能常有漏洞，我不是技術的人但我下次碰到 IPFS 的人可以幫你問一下。但無論如何整個 web3 產業都同意 IPFS 不是最去中心化的作法，所以才會有像 onchain monkey 這樣的計畫 https://onchainmonkey.com/

嗯，我研究的結論也是 IPFS 本身並無法保證資料真的永久不消失，所以要靠 Filecoin 這種外部的誘因鼓勵人提供自己硬碟空間幫助這件事
對只能說他資料消失的機率比較低而已
arweave siacoin 也可以參考，跟 Filecoin 類似
我的理解 ipfs 跟 filecoin, arweave, siacoin 是兩個不同層面的東西，前者是檔案系統，後者是提供誘因的數位貨幣。前者才可以存放資料，後者無法存放資料，但是他讓礦工提供自己的硬碟空間協助前者存放資料

嗯，我研究的結論也是 IPFS 本身並無法保證資料真的永久不消失，所以要靠 Filecoin 這種外部的誘因鼓勵人提供自己硬碟空間幫助這件事
對只能說他資料消失的機率比較低而已
arweave siacoin 也可以參考，跟 Filecoin 類似
我的理解 ipfs 跟 filecoin, arweave, siacoin 是兩個不同層面的東西，前者是檔案系統，後者是提供誘因的數位貨幣。前者才可以存放資料，後者無法存放資料，但是他讓礦工提供自己的硬碟空間協助前者存放資料

• On tokenomics - If there's no token in place, is it still a DAO? What are the necessities for DAOs to have tokens? (Cuz people can def vote and participate without token, so why is this section important and how does it make a DAO different?)

yes I can elaborate more on the why! Tokens are just a tool for a DAO infrastructure to be built upon. It's better to delay launching a token imo until the use case is super clear, migration is costly and inconvenient. @noah226 had a great comment on why web3 from the last meeting - other than the obvious use case of rewards, governance and reputation, it is also permission-less system that anyone can build on top of, which is very inline with g0v's values

the founders are coming to TBW too so, let me ask/research about the value prop between mintkudos vs poap before suggesting it
the time of the event, probably more feasible for speakers living on East coast to speak around 8 or 8:30 am

I haven’t tried using kudos yet, a couple of quick thoughts
• I thought the peer-verified way is a clever way to make SBTs (or NTTs) credible, we should take that with us for future designs of DeSoc
• It seems we need to WL the wallet addresses first to use Kudos, this might be a little hard for physical event proof of attendance like the one we’re having, but I think this can be perfect for our future endeavors
• I still am a little fuzzy on structured SBTs vs completely open SBTs like Kudos, structured ones make it easier to build trust, unstructured ones make it easier to scale, maybe a mix can be a good solution, this might be clearer after our research
• With kudos APIs this should be pretty easy to build upon, loving it
For now if you agree I think because of the limitation with whitelisted wallets we might want to go for POAP for physical event this time, what do you think?

Actually no whitelist needed, there's another open claim option, if you're interested, I can connect the founder to run a demo for you and ask questions! (Or we can just use POAP haha up to you!)

I think the community had a preference towards eco-friendly ones, other than that none. Optimism is one that has a strong culture on public goods, but that's just an observation 💪
Just minted! One potential problem w polygon or other L2 is it would require some MATICs or sth else, other than that seems quite perfect
And yes would love to chat with founder to understand its full potential, and how we can use it in the future 💪

Actually no whitelist needed, there's another open claim option, if you're interested, I can connect the founder to run a demo for you and ask questions! (Or we can just use POAP haha up to you!)

I think the community had a preference towards eco-friendly ones, other than that none. Optimism is one that has a strong culture on public goods, but that's just an observation 💪

(Not a graphic designer obviously) 因為還找不到設計師來跳坑所以先給大家看一些概念方向，黑白是刻意的，我們可以先做形的選擇再做顏色的選擇，這樣會比較順暢，最後當然會請正常的設計師再做優化

我們先做發散，週五會議在做收斂，有其他想法想試試的歡迎跟我說

Hm not sure about format, but the goal of the session is come up within a sentence or 2 that is clear, concise, and concrete that we all are happy with and a few values we lean heavily into
Got it, I'll reference some other information as well to come up with a more detailed statement considering we already have the two sentences sort of outlined 💪 the goal might be to come up with a structured draft for sth like a g0v宣言, what do you think?
Ah ok ok I thought maybe we wanted to come up with refined mission and add values. Ya we probably need a charter instead, but not sure how far we can get, let's try! Sounds good

然後我有一個夢改成「我們」，是延伸自馬丁路德金恩博士的演講「I Have a Dream」XD

追尋文化共識，而非謀求工具尋租
這邊我想 Noah 的意思是尊重the old good glory，並且從昨天的會議採用 Isabel 對於「公益、公民」的正道，所以將工具尋租放進來與文化共識做對照。如果擴寫成長版，就是「追尋零時文化共識，而非謀求web3工具尋租」。尋租文化除了是平台資本主義目前的弊病，也是web3世界正在慢慢出現的潛在危險。g0v是離這件事較遠了，我想可以特別強調。至於要用長版還是短板，都可以！

這邊我將詞彙改成相對geek一點，

fit in寫成「擬合」，這是人工智慧學術用語，是演算法在預測實際世界時，可以正確預測，卻又不會過於偏向於某些特殊案例。我想web3工具的通用性，也很適合使用擬合這個概念，而擬合的重要前提，便是要不斷迭代，創造通用世界的共融。
