🏉 Post-hacknight debrief huddle! Any praise, feedback or noticings from tonight? yay continuous improvements
You're doing fuckin stellar with the emcee'ing @claudiahleung! Also, mad props for attending just to emcee when you've got your orchestra midway through
It was a short drinks night, but was nice to go out with @thusal.bennett @james431 and a new attendee Daniel (a thief stole Daniel's backpack, which had _both_ his passports in it, but some good samaritan at the next table over warned us, and Daniel scared him into dropping it mid-chase 😅 )
a bit on the low side with 8 attendees this week, so we probably need to get out the invite more 🤔
We got the wifi sorted, but would be great if we had a way to source that in advance, as we might not always be so lucky for @james431 to find someone in the hall who knows it 🙂
Also, free food 😋

How would screen readers cope with B? I find A easier to read
Good call! I was also favouring Hack London for that reason, but I scoped out voiceover and it seems to have no problem with it 🙏🏻 but you bring up a good point that just visually, "A" is perhaps better!

Given our lack of ongoing projects, I highly recommend we focus on directing attendee attention to projects that face _outward_ instead of _inward_ until we're off the ground and have something to show 🙂
For myself, I'm going to be trying to spend my attention trying to help ppl start projects that serve outside communities. If I work on internal infra, I'm going to try to do it quietly for now, and not direct energy of participants at it, mostly bc i'll feel guilty about onboarding new ppl until we have "real" projects 🙂 but everyone else is free to operate as they please!
